A man with strong artistic skills, Tullio Crali was born in Igalo, Dalmatia (present-day Montenegro) on December 6, 1910. Soon his family moved to Zadar: this is where he had his first and decisive encounter with an airplane. It is a seaplane that sits right in front of his house. Since 1922 he has been in Gorizia, where he attended the Technical Institute and where he began to demonstrate his skills. So, three years later, in 1925 he discovered Futurism by reading "Il Mattino Illustrato" in Naples. From here he will always remain faithful to the Futurist Movement throughout his life.
