GETULIO ALVIANI - Biography
alviani, plastic creator and designer,in 1961 has a solo exhibition at mala galerija in ljubljana followed in 1962 by another much larger solo exhibition in the space of galerija suvremene umjetnosti in zagreb. also in 1962 he participates in the exhibition "arte programmata" organized by olivetti in venice, rome and düsseldorf.
in 1963 he participated in the exhibition "zero - der neue idealismus" in the galerie diogenes in berlin.
in 1964 he exhibits at the musée des arts décoratifs of the louvre museum in paris at the exhibition "nouvelle tendance recherches continuelles". in 1965 he participates in the exhibition "the responsive eye" at the museum of modern art (moma) in new york and executes the first projects of environments with mirrored walls.
during the 1970s he deepens and develops with an increasingly extreme coherence the themes that are congenial to him, broadening his interest from structures to chromatic problems to the visualization of chemical and physical processes.
in 1976 he obtained a professorship at the academy of fine arts in carrara, which he would leave in 1981 to go to direct the museo de arte moderno jesús soto in ciudad bolívar, venezuela, which he consecrated to perceptual art.
in 1964, 1986 and with an environment in 1993 he exhibited at the venice biennale.
