PAOLO SCHEGGI - Biography

Paolo Scheggi (1940–1971) was an Italian artist associated with 1960s spatial research. After moving to Milan, he worked in the circle of Lucio Fontana.

He is best known for his “Intersuperfici”—layered monochrome canvases with elliptical openings that create depth and rhythm. Despite his short life, he remains a key figure in contemporary Italian art.
