BICE LAZZARI - Biography

Bice Lazzari was born in Venice on November 15 and completed his studies there, first at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory, then at the Accadenia of Fine Arts.
In the first period of his research, his interests were divided between painting, linked to a Venetian context and very far from the taste and theoretical terms of the twentieth century (then dominant), and a presence in the field of the so-called applied art, which offers the possibility of carving out a wider space of tools and materials.
On this theme in 1925 and 1926 present in the collective at Ca 'Pesaro in Venice where he presents "Abstraction of a line".
From 1926 to the 1940s he took part in various Enapi exhibitions and painted frescoes and panels for various situations. From the 1920s until 1963 he participated in various prizes including the Michetti, the Golfo di La Spezia Prize, the Scipione di Macerata Prize and many others, often taking the first prize.
