Emilio Tadini - Biography

Emilio Tadini (Milan, 1927 - Milan, September 25, 2002) was an Italian painter, sculptor and poet. With a degree in literature, he was president of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts from 1997 to 2000. He began his literary activity in Elio Vittorini's magazine Politecnico in 1947, publishing essays, novels, poems and monologues. He exhibited his first works in the 1960s and was invited to the Venice Biennale in '78 and '82. A retrospective of his work was held in Milan in 2001. He was an art and literature critic for Corriere della sera. He passed away in Milan on September 25, 2002 at the age of 75.
