BRITISH PAINTER (N. DARTFORD 1932). EXPONENT OF THE ENGLISH POP ART. FROM 1953 TO 1956 HE ATTENDED THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF ART IN LONDON, WHERE HE HAS TEACHED SINCE 1964. IDOLS OF THE MASSES (E. PRESLEY, THE BEATLES, ETC.) ARE A PART OF HIS THEME OF THE IMAGE BUILT BY ADVERTISING, IN A MIXED TECHNIQUE, WHICH EXPLOITES THE PHOTOGRAPHIC REPORT TOGETHER WITH THE TRADITIONAL PICTORIAL MEANS. IN 1975, HE WAS ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE COLLECTIVE BROTHERHOOD OF RURALISTS, A GROUP OF ARTISTS UNITED BY A PASSION FOR THE PRE-PRAFFAELITES.
