Nadir Zarour (b. 1977) is a painter and sculptor based in London. Born in Algiers, he developed a passion for art at an early age through his father, a skilled woodworker, which led him to explore both wood sculpture and painting.
After moving to the UK in the early 2000s, he continued to develop his artistic practice alongside professional and family commitments. Following a serious illness diagnosed in 2017, he chose to dedicate himself more fully to his artistic research.
His work explores themes of movement, migration and human interconnectedness. Through bold colours, dynamic compositions and densely populated surfaces, his paintings convey a message of resilience, energy and cross-cultural dialogue.
